  • Once you get the “Preview & Submit” section, a preview of your application will appear before you. If all the details are accurate then click the “I Agree” check box and following that click on the “Confirm & Submit” button.
  • A system-generated acknowledgment number will appear on your screen. Kindly save it for future reference. Then click on the “OK” button to close this acknowledgment popup.
  • Candidates need to click on the “Download PDF” button to download your form and print this form.

  1. Firstly, you need to open the official website portal of the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.
  2. Now the homepage will appear in front of your screen.
  3. There you just need to click on the option of Track Complaint Status.
  4. Consequently, a new page will appear on your screen.
  5. After reaching there, you need to enter your acknowledgment number and then get the OTP option.
  6. Now you need to enter the opt received in your registered mobile number.
  7. As a result, the status of your Cyber Crime Complaint will appear in front of you.

  1. Cyber crimes come under the purview of IPC or the Indian Penal Code. Citizens can now lodge a cyber crime FIR (complaint) at the nearby police station to report the crime.

D) Documents for the Data Theft Complaints:-

  • A copy that shows the stolen data from you.
  • Together with the copyright certificate of the concerned stolen data
  • Details of the suspected person
